Six months before your wedding or as soon as possible
- Confirm the wedding date with the minister or registrar
- Confirm the reception venue
- Work out your Guest List, agree it with both families
- Confirm your booking with your caterers, discuss & agree your menus & drinks for your reception
- Book your photographer, as well as a videographer
- Organise & book your florist & discuss bouquets, buttonholes &decorations
- Choose your Bridesmaid`s & other attendants clothes
- Decide on the Bridegroom`s wedding clothes
- Decide the attire for Best Man, Ushers & Fathers
- Look at Honeymoon options and book early
- Decide on wedding invitations & wedding stationery
Three months before your wedding
- Arrange another meeting with the minister or registrar to discuss service, readings & music
- Book musicians or entertainment
- Organise wedding dress fittings, buy wedding accessories & shoes
- Find a hairstylist & discuss types of hairstyle
- Finalise details of Bridegroom`s & attendants wedding outfits
- Choose & buy wedding rings
- Book your wedding transport
- Plan a wedding gift list & place at the company or store of your choice
- Check your household insurance policy & look into & consider taking out wedding insurance
- Finalise your honeymoon plans
- Book your wedding night room if you are planning on staying at a hotel
- Check that your passports are valid. Obviously if changing your name then you need to send off your passport with a name-change form
- Arrange for any visas & vaccinations if they are needed
Two months before your wedding
- Send out your invitations (ideally no less than 6 weeks before & certainly no more than 12)
- Keep a record of invitation replies
- Send out your Gift List information & thank you notes when your gifts arrive. Keep a list of your presents & who bought which gift
- Choose your going-away & honeymoon clothes
- If you are changing your name then inform your bank & other relevant companies & authorities
- Finalise your Order of Service
- Choose presents & favours for your Bridesmaids, Best Man,Ushers, parents & anyone else that you would like to thank
- Confirm & re-confirm in writing all bookings, this includesceremony, reception, photographer, videographer, caterer,transport, florist, musicians or entertainment, etc.
One month before your wedding
- Chase up those guests that have yet to reply to your invitation
- Write up a final guest list & confirm your final numbers with your reception venue & wedding caterer
- Work out a seating plan for your guests
- Arrange to pay the registrar for your marriage certificate
- Confirm your transport arrangements for the wedding day
- Order your holiday currency for your honeymoon
- Visit your chosen hairdresser, take along your headdress/veil, finalise the hairstyle that you agree on, arrange & book your final appointment or book your hairstylist for the wedding morning
- Book your wedding make-up session
- We would recommend that you start to wear-in your wedding shoes at home
- Organise your Stag & Hen Parties
Two weeks before your wedding
- Arrange for your final haircuts, these really should not be left any closer to the day
- Make a detailed & final check on complete wedding outfits
One Week To Go
- Reconfirm all arrangements with your reception venue, your florist, photographer, videographer, musicians, caterer, etc
- Arrange a wedding rehearsal
- Practise your wedding hair & make-up
- Check that your Bridegroom, Best Man & Father are writing & practising their speeches (if you would like a speech written for any member of the wedding party please get in touch with us)
- Write your own speech if you plan on making one
- Sort out all of your necessary documents & remember to store them in a safe place
The Day Before
- Make sure that your wedding cake or cakes are being delivered & delivered safely!
- Help to decorate your reception venue
- Make sure all wedding clothes are prepared & ready
