Norfolk Wedding Days is 2 years old today!!

On 23rd June 2008 we set up the website and directory and secured our first advertiser just a few days later, since then we have gone from strength to strength and now have over 120 advertisers!

Over the last 2 years we have seen our visitor numbers grow to an average of over 200+ per day, 1,500 per week and over 6,500 per month!

We have helped hundreds of local couples find suitable and reputable wedding services across Norfolk and helped many local businesses secure more work, more customers and more bookings.

We have achieved much of our 3 year plan already, including organising 2 wedding shows a year, publishing our own wedding magazine and setting up Suffolk Wedding Days and UK Wedding Days, as well as setting up the Norfolk Wedding Discount Voucher Club which helps Brides save money on their wedding day and attract more customers for our suppliers.

Of course all of this wouldn`t have been achievable without the support of our customers, some who have remained with us throughout the 2 years, and of course the many Brides, Bridegrooms and parents who use our site, our magazines, attend our wedding fairs and get in touch to ask for our help.

Kelly and myself would like to thank you all for your support and custom over the last 2 years and hopefully we can push on and go from strength to strength over the next 12 months.

As Kelly has put us on diets our birthday cake is likely to be a Jaffa Cake so please can I ask all our advertisers not to ask for a piece of my cake!!

Wow what a couple of weeks for us here at Norfolk wedding Days!

Since our experiment to find out what our existing and potential advertisers thought of us and our site we have gone from strength to strength and that can not only benefit us and our advertisers, but our Brides To Be as well, as we are now offering them more choice and more quality suppliers than ever before!

In the last 2 weeks we have welcomed The Wedding Bloom, Sandy Jones Artwork, Sinsins Lovestore, Heavenly Chocolates, and now Diamond Cakes to our growing family, as well as welcoming Classic Choice Catering back as they sign up for another year.

We were also relieved to hear of a happy outcome to a Fathers worst nightmare, as one Father of the Bride was very badly treated and let down by a hotel in Great Yarmouth just weeks before his daughters big day.

Luckily one of our advertisers, Des Fulcher of Flashfx, stepped in and with the kind help of Marie Gates from Great Yarmouth Racecourse they have saved the day and the family can now look forward to a fantastic Wedding Day and firework display at one of Norfolk`s finest venues, so a big well done to Des and Marie.

On a personal note I am glad to be off those crutches and back to full fatness...I mean fitness!! Kelly is also relieved not to be waiting on me hand and foot (I was milking the injury a bit!!), however it did give me a great opportunity to catch up with the websites and some paperwork, and with the next edition of our magazine due to go to print at the end of this month it has been, and still is, a very hectic time here at Norfolk towers!

Still it`s nice to be busy...just not when the World Cup is on though!
