Beating The Wedding Crunch

There is good news in all this doom and gloom that you are getting married so congratulations to you both and here are a few tips on how to beat that crunch!

Artificial flowers are handcrafted just like real flowers and can look extremely realistic. Consider the benefits to having artificial flowers - they are very cost effective, sneeze-free, easy to hold as they generally weigh alot less, an everlasting keepsake and resilient! Use these for you Bridal or Bridesmaid Bouquets or centerpiece and even button holes you could save at least 30% off the cost of real flowers.

Double Up one way to cut cost is to re-use the flowers from your ceremony within your reception. This is eco friendly too.

Gifts Cufflinks or Jewellery is a cost effective way to give your attendants gift to say thank you for their services on your big day.  These can then be worn on the day so as to not duplicate gifts or double the costs.

Centrepiece Try and hire centre piece such as vases or mirror plates as these can cut your cost by at least 40% and what do you do with 12 vases after the Wedding? Shop around try your venue first or Florist or The Wedding Party are a good place to start.

When to shop January Sales are always a good place to try you may pick up a bargain wedding dress for under £400.  If you are having a Christmas wedding this is also a good time to get your decorative theme goddies together such as baubles as place name settings or snowflake items for decorating the venue or tables.

Suits Hire shop around, the cost of suit hire can very considerably and a lot of hire companies will offer to beat their competitors quotes - get as many written quotes as possible and then try and haggle with the firm you want to use saving you those all important pounds.

Food Serve your wedding cake as pudding this saves you enormous amounts of money and who needs cake after pudding! Consider having a later wedding slot and have a buffet style meal rather that a full sit down meal.

Drink Supermarkets are a good way of sourcing your wine especially as they have many wine promotions and you will also have fun in the process trying the different wine!! Plus it can work out a lot cheaper to buy your own wine and pay your venues corkage rather than their drinks package and you then get to serve a wine you love instead of what they have to offer you.

Freebies why not use some of the local suppliers such as Photographers, Wedding Cakes, Car Hire, Entertainment, Florists and Stationery linked to The Wedding Party and receive vouchers to spend in-store.

Hope you have enjoyed these few handy tips to help you beat the wedding crunch and budget for your special day - happy Planning.
